Bio
Lainie Towell created her first abstract painting in 1975 at age three, working directly on her parent’s living room wall with Crayola crayons. By age 20, she channeled her creative energy into performance and dance, presenting her work in Ottawa, Montreal and Toronto. Today, Lainie continues to be inspired by movement. She prefers to work on large canvases tacked directly to the wall, to minimize restrictions. Lainie holds a degree in Art History. Her paintings have been shown at Orange Art Gallery in Ottawa, Canada and have been purchased by private collectors.
